The Beginning – 2017
The first major collaboration came in 2017, when the American doom metal band Bell Witch selected the painting Essence of Freedom for the cover of their acclaimed album Mirror Reaper.
The artwork quickly gained recognition within the music community and was later included in the publication Masterpieces: Heavy Music Artwork – Anno 2017, highlighting the most significant album covers of the year.
Following the success of Mirror Reaper, other artists began discovering Lewandowski’s work.

Expansion – 2018
The following year brought a significant increase in collaborations. In 2018, more than fifteen album covers featured Lewandowski’s paintings.

- Morgue Supplier – Inevitability (painting: Usurpatory Kingdom)
- Atlantean Kodex – The Course of Empire (painting: Army)

Other bands collaborating with the artist included Mark Whelan, Cardiac Rupture, Myriad Drone, Rogga Johansson, Necrogod, The Grotesquery, Mizmor and Jupiterian.
Continued Collaborations – 2019
In 2019, the presence of Lewandowski’s work within the heavy music scene continued to grow. Among the releases of that year:
- Elder Druid – Golgotha (painting: Eternal Procession)
- Lares – Towards Nothingness (painting: Antigravity)
- Yenisey – The Last Cruise (painting: Styx)
- Additional collaborations included:

- The painting Immemortal Question was also used by Mizmor on the album Cairn.
Tailor-Made Paintings
In many cases, bands approached the artist with a specific concept inspired by their music. Lewandowski would listen to the compositions and create original paintings commissioned specifically for the album.

Recent Works
In 2021, one of Lewandowski’s most recognizable paintings, The Queen of Patience, appeared on the cover of the album
...And I Return to Nothingness by Lorna Shore.
Another example from this period is the album Spectral Creator by Frightful, featuring the painting The Last Battle.
